Segment Your WooCommerce Customers with New ActiveCampaign Modules
Email marketing services are great for mass communications and when used creatively, they can also offer targeted messaging opportunities.
Specifically speaking, when it comes to managing contacts and creating avenues of communication, segmentation is key.
Creating successful relationships with customers/clients along the entire customer lifecycle is dependent upon appropriate communications and timing.
Don’t want to say thank you before an order has gone through or miss messaging a long-term supporter?
With ActiveCampaign and the help of Make, this is a real possibility.
WooCommerce, ActiveCampaign and Make: Get the most out of your tools
Segmenting your customers/clients from another platform to be stored in ActiveCampaign for further purposes is now available and helps to realize the above possibility. With this capability, further communications become easier than ever.
The below example shows a scenario between WooCommerce and ActiveCampaign. In the scenario, the trigger Watch customers for WooCommerce has been implemented.
So, whenever a new order is processed through your WooCommerce account, the customer will automatically be searched through ActiveCampaign’s list of contacts to see if it is a new contact or not.
If the customer does not exist in the list, it is added as a new contact in ActiveCampaign. If it's existing, it will just be updated as such in ActiveCampaign.
Unfortunately, people aren’t young forever and fortunately, customers aren’t new forever!
The next scenario represents a follow-up process which moves “new contacts” to “existing contacts” in ActiveCampaign through a subscriber specifications filter, which can be executed within a time frame that suits your needs best.
For example, the schedule could execute once a day and move those that have been on the “new contacts” list to your “existing contacts” once they have been there for 30 days.
Keeping your new list new and your existing list old — I mean current. The image below describes this scenario.

There you have it! Ease of communication with appropriate timing and segmentation to aid in further actions with your customers/clients, all thanks to Make.
