We're looking for an Event Marketing Manager to own Make's presence at the industry events that matter most. From high-profile tech conferences like Web Summit to partner activations, executive roundtables, and VIP experiences, you'll ensure Make shows up with purpose - driving brand awareness, generating pipeline, and deepening relationships with customers, prospects, and partners.
You'll be hands-on - managing logistics, designing activations, and leading the team on the ground - but the role goes beyond execution. You'll also manage our event portfolio in close partnership with GTM and Sales, ensuring every investment lands with real impact. You'll own the plan and the details, and you'll ensure our presence at external events draws attention and becomes a signature of Make’s brand.
What you’ll do:
- Own Make's external event presence. You'll lead our strategy and execution across industry conferences, trade shows, and partner events - including flagship moments like Web Summit, Monday.com Elevate, and other high-impact opportunities in the B2B tech and AI space.
- Drive measurable impact. You’ll set goals, track pipeline influence, brand lift, and engagement metrics, and work with GTM to ensure our event investments translate into real business outcomes.
- Build and manage partnerships. You'll coordinate closely with tech partners, sponsors, and event organizers to maximise the value of each activation - from booth presence and speaking slots to co-marketing opportunities.
- Create standout VIP and hospitality experiences. Beyond tradeshows, you'll develop high-touch moments for key customers, prospects, and partners - from executive dinners and roundtables to unique hospitality activations that are signatures of Make's brand and culture.
- Collaborate across the business. You'll work hand-in-hand with Sales, Partnerships, Product Marketing, and the broader Brand team to align event strategy with campaign moments, product launches, and commercial priorities.
- Participate in Waves. Waves is Make's flagship annual conference, led by a dedicated team - but you'll play an active role, owning specific components and bringing your expertise in sponsorship, external-facing experiences, and VIP programming to one of Make's biggest moments of the year.
- Manage logistics and budget. You'll own the operational side - vendor relationships, contracts, budgets, timelines - ensuring flawless execution of each event without losing sight of the strategic picture.
What we’re looking for:
- Solid experience in event marketing within the B2B tech or SaaS space, with a track record of scaling a company's presence at trade shows and major industry events.
- An on-the-ground leader who can step in as “manager for the day” to ensure our team is briefed, prepped and delivers an impeccable guest experience.
- A clear understanding of how events connect to pipeline - and the experience working with Sales and GTM teams to drive real outcomes
- Equally comfortable building a strategy and managing the details; you've coordinated complex, multi-stakeholder activations and know how to keep things on track without losing energy or creativity.
- A strong eye for brand experience - whether it's a 20-person VIP dinner or a 10,000-person conference booth, you know what great looks like and you hold the bar high. You're comfortable working closely with design and other internal teams to deliver a standout visual and activation presence.
- Happy to travel; this role puts you on the ground at some of the coolest events around the world
- A self-starter mentality and can-do attitude; Make is actively experimenting across new formats - VIP experiences, hackathons, hospitality, sponsorships - and you'll thrive figuring things out as the program grows
- Familiarity with the broader tech/AI events landscape - the key conferences, the major players, and how fast-growing SaaS brands use events to build visibility and credibility
