How to setup Microsoft Teams and OpenAI (ChatGPT, Sora, DALL-E, Whisper) in 5 easy steps
Log in to Make and start building your automation
Begin by signing into your Make account, which is the platform that will connect Microsoft Teams and OpenAI GPT-3 together. Once logged in, you'll create what Make calls a 'scenario'—this is your automation that makes the two apps work together automatically without you having to do anything manually.
Add Microsoft Teams to your workflow
Click to add a new module (a building block for your automation) and search for Microsoft Teams from the list of apps. Select the Microsoft Teams action you want to use, then click 'Create a connection' to link Make with your Teams account. You can give this connection a name to help you remember it later, though this is optional.
Authenticate and approve Microsoft Teams access
A window will open asking you to log into your Microsoft Teams account with your business credentials. After logging in, Microsoft will show you what permissions Make needs to work with Teams, such as sending messages or creating channels. Review these permissions and click to approve access, then you'll be brought back to Make with your connection confirmed and ready to use.
Add OpenAI GPT-3 to your automation
Now add the second app by clicking to insert another module and searching for OpenAI GPT-3. Choose the GPT-3 action you need, whether it's generating text, answering questions, or another AI task. This module will work alongside your Microsoft Teams connection to create your complete automation.
Connect OpenAI GPT-3 to complete the setup
Click 'Create a connection' for OpenAI GPT-3 and follow the same authentication process you used for Teams. Log in with your OpenAI account credentials and approve the necessary permissions. Once this second connection is established, both Microsoft Teams and OpenAI GPT-3 will be linked in Make and ready to work together in your automated workflow.
