Get your Anthropic Claude API key

Before connecting Anthropic Claude to Make, you need to obtain an API key from your Anthropic Claude account. An API key is like a special password that allows Make to securely access your Anthropic Claude features on your behalf. Log into your Anthropic Claude console and look for the key icon in the bottom-left corner. Click it to access the API keys section, then click '+ Create Key' to generate a new key. Give it a descriptive name like 'Make Integration' so you can remember its purpose later.

Save your API key in a secure location

After creating your API key in Anthropic Claude, copy it immediately and store it somewhere secure like a password manager. This is crucial because you won't be able to see this key again once you close the window. Treat your API key like an important password that shouldn't be shared with anyone. You'll need this key in the next steps when setting up the connection in Make, so keep it easily accessible for now.

Create the Anthropic Claude connection in Make

Log into your Make account and open or create a scenario where you want to use Anthropic Claude. Add an Anthropic Claude module to your workflow and click 'Create a connection' when prompted. You can optionally give your connection a descriptive name to help identify it later. Then, paste the API key you copied earlier into the 'API Key' field and click 'Save' to establish the connection.

Connect Microsoft 365 Email to Make

Connecting Microsoft 365 Email is simpler than Anthropic Claude. In Make, add a Microsoft 365 Email module to your scenario and click 'Create a connection'. You can give it an optional name for identification. After clicking 'Save', you'll be prompted to log in with your regular Microsoft credentials. Microsoft will ask you to confirm that you want to give Make access to your email, completing the authentication process.
