Triggers and actions

Connect Anthropic Claude as a trigger and Google Docs as an action through Make's automation platform. When a document is created or updated in Anthropic Claude, it triggers the workflow to automatically send that content to Google Docs for processing. Google Docs then functions as an action by generating intelligent drafts, summaries, data analysis, or answering complex queries based on the Anthropic Claude content, which can then flow back into your documents to improve your content production workflow.

How to set up Google Docs and Anthropic Claude in 5 easy steps

Generate your Anthropic Claude API key

Sign into your Anthropic Claude account and locate the key icon in the bottom-left corner to access the API keys section. Click '+ Create Key', select your workspace, give it a memorable name, and click 'Add'. Be sure to copy and save this key immediately, as you won't be able to view it again later.

Connect Anthropic Claude to Make

Log into Make and open your automation scenario. Add an Anthropic Claude module and click 'Create a connection'. In the connection form, you can optionally name your connection for identification, then paste your API key into the designated field and click 'Save' to complete the connection.

Add Google Docs module to your scenario

While working in your Make scenario, add a Google Docs module to your workflow. Click the 'Create a connection' button that appears with the module to begin linking your Google account to Make.

Authenticate with your Google account

Enter a descriptive connection name if desired, then click 'Sign in with Google'. You'll be redirected to Google's login page where you'll enter your credentials and review the permissions Make needs to access your Google Docs. Grant these permissions to allow Make to work with your documents.
