1. Select a trigger

  • Receives data from the MAKE_FUNCTION or INTEGROMAT functions used in a sheet. Please note, the Sheets Add-On is required.

  • Triggers when a cell is updated. Watches only changes made in Google Sheet app. Sheets Add-On required.

  • Triggers when a new row is added.

2. Select an action

  • Creates a video from a HeyGen avatar, an animated image, or a cinematic-avatar prompt.

  • Generates a video from a text prompt. The agent writes the script, picks the scenes and renders the video.

  • Translates a video into one or more languages with voice cloning and lip-sync.

  • Permanently deletes a video and all its files. This action cannot be undone.

  • Permanently deletes an asset from your workspace. This action cannot be undone.

  • Retrieves a video's status, download URLs, and failure details.

  • Retrieves a video translation's status, download URLs, and failure details.

  • Retrieves the metadata and public URL of an uploaded asset.

  • Performs an arbitrary authorized API call.

  • Uploads a file and returns an asset ID other modules can reference. Maximum 32 MB.

How to set up Google Sheets and HeyGen in 5 easy steps

Add your app module in Make

Log into your Make account and open the scenario where you want to build your automation. Find the app you want to connect, such as Google Sheets or HeyGen, and add its module to your workspace. Think of this module as a building block that enables your apps to communicate with each other.

Start creating your connection

After adding your app module, look for the 'Create a connection' button and click it to begin linking Make with your chosen application. You can optionally give your connection a descriptive name to help you identify it later, especially when managing multiple connections across different scenarios.

Get your HeyGen API key

For HeyGen connections, you'll need an API key from your HeyGen account. Log into HeyGen, click on your profile name in the upper left corner, then click the Settings icon. Navigate to 'Subscriptions & API', click 'HeyGen API', and copy the API Token that appears there.

Complete the authentication process

If connecting HeyGen, paste the API key you copied into the 'API Key' field in Make's connection dialog. For Google Sheets, click the 'Sign in with Google' button and follow the prompts to authenticate using your Google account credentials. You'll be asked to review and grant the necessary permissions that allow Make to work with your apps securely.

Save and start using your connection

Once you've completed the authentication and entered all required information, click the 'Save' button to finalize your connection. Make will test the connection to ensure everything works properly. After successful confirmation, your connection is active and ready to use in your automation scenarios.

Use this template to create videos in HeyGen in bulk from new rows in Google Sheets.
