Connect Anthropic Claude and Notion through Make's automation platform by using Anthropic Claude as a trigger and Notion as an action. When specific events occur in Anthropic Claude—such as creating or updating a database item or page—these changes trigger automated workflows that send data to Notion. Notion then acts on this information by generating content, analyzing data, or creating responses based on the triggered Anthropic Claude events. For example, when a new item is added to a Anthropic Claude database, it can automatically trigger Notion to generate summaries, create documentation, or produce AI-powered content that can be stored back in Anthropic Claude or used elsewhere in your workflow. How to set up Notion and Anthropic Claude in 5 easy steps

Get your Anthropic Claude API key

Before you can connect Anthropic Claude to Make, you'll need an API key from your Anthropic Claude account. Log into your Anthropic Claude console and look for the key icon in the bottom-left corner. Click it to access your API keys section, then click the '+ Create Key' button. Give your key a name you'll remember, create it, and immediately copy and save it somewhere safe—you won't be able to see it again once you close the window.

Connect Anthropic Claude to Make

Once you have your API key, log into your Make account and add an Anthropic Claude module to your automation. When prompted, click 'Create a connection' and paste the API key you saved earlier into the API Key field. You can give your connection a memorable name to help identify it later, then click 'Save' to complete the setup and start using Anthropic Claude in your automations.

Create your Notion integration token

To connect Notion to Make using the Internal method, start by logging into your Notion account. Navigate to 'Settings & Members', then 'Connections', and click 'Develop or manage integrations'. Click 'New Integration', select your workspace, and give it a descriptive name before clicking 'Submit'. After creating the integration, go to the 'Secrets' tab, click 'Show' next to your token, and copy it immediately to save in a secure location.

Connect Notion to Make using internal connection

In Make, add a Notion module to your automation scenario and click 'Create a connection'. From the connection type dropdown menu, select 'Notion Internal'. Paste the internal integration token you copied from Notion into the appropriate field, optionally give your connection a name you'll recognize, and click 'Save' to establish the connection between Make and your Notion workspace.

Connect Notion using the public connection option

For a simpler setup, you can use Notion's Public connection method instead. In Make, add a Notion module and click 'Create a connection', then select 'Notion Public' from the dropdown menu. Give your connection a name if you'd like, then click 'Save'. Make will guide you through authentication and ask you to select which specific Notion pages or databases you want to grant access to, ensuring Make can only interact with the content you've approved.
