Set up your Google Cloud project and get your API key

To connect Google Gemini AI to Make, you'll first need to create a project in Google Cloud Platform and then visit Google AI Studio to generate an API key. This key acts like a password that allows Make to communicate with Google Gemini AI. Once you click 'Get API key' and select your project, copy the key that appears and keep it somewhere safe—you'll need it in the next step.

Click 'Create a connection' and paste the API key you copied from Google AI Studio into the designated field. When setting up your Shopify connection, select 'Shopify' as the connection type and enter your store's unique identifier in the 'Domain' field. For example, if your store address is 'mystorename.myshopify.com', you only need to type 'mystorename'.
