Set up your Google Cloud project

Begin by logging into Google Cloud Platform and creating a new project. Give your project a meaningful name and make sure it's selected from the dropdown menu at the top of the page. Then, navigate to the API Library through the left menu, search for 'Vertex AI Gemini API', and click the Enable button to activate it for your project.

Create your Google Vertex AI connection in Make

Log into your Make account and add a Google Vertex AI module to your automation workflow. Click on 'Create a connection' when the option appears, and you can give it a custom name to help you remember what it's for. After setting up the basic details, click 'Sign in with Google' and follow the authentication prompts to grant Make access to your Google Vertex AI service.

Configure OAuth settings in Google Cloud

In Google Cloud Platform, go to 'Google Auth Platform' and click 'Get Started'. Enter 'Make' as your app name, provide your email address, and select 'External' as your audience type. In the Branding section, add 'make.com' and 'integromat.com' as authorized domains, which tells Google which websites can use your connection.

Get your Telegram bot token from BotFather

Open Telegram and search for BotFather or visit the link 'https://telegram.me/BotFather'. Type '/newbot' to start creating your bot, then follow the prompts to choose a username. BotFather will respond with a unique token for your bot—copy this token carefully and keep it safe, as you'll need it to connect your bot to Make.

Connect your Telegram bot to Make

In Make, add a Telegram Bot module to your scenario and click 'Create a connection'. Give your connection a recognizable name if you'd like, then paste the token you received from BotFather into the Token field. Click Save to complete the setup, and your Telegram bot will now be ready to send and receive messages through your Make automation.
