How to setup Anthropic Claude and Slack in 5 easy steps
Get your Anthropic Claude API key
Sign into your Anthropic Claude console and find the API keys section by clicking the key icon in the bottom-left corner. Click '+ Create Key' to generate a new API key, select your workspace, give it a name, and immediately copy the key to a safe place since you won't be able to see it again.
Add Anthropic Claude to your Make scenario
Log in to Make and open the scenario where you want to use Anthropic Claude. Add an Anthropic Claude module to your workflow and click the 'Create a connection' button. In the connection window that appears, paste your API key into the 'API Key' field and click 'Save' to establish the connection.
Check Slack workspace permissions
Before connecting Slack, be aware that some workspaces have restrictions that prevent new connections. If you run into any errors during setup, contact your Slack Workspace Owner or Admin to adjust the settings and allow the connection to Make.
Connect Slack to your Make scenario
In Make, add a Slack module to your scenario and click 'Create a connection'. You may be asked to choose between 'Slack (user)' or 'Slack (bot)' connection types depending on your module. Give your connection a name to help identify it later, then click 'Save'.
Authenticate and complete the Slack connection
After clicking 'Save', you'll be prompted to authenticate your Slack account. If you have multiple workspaces, select the correct one from the top-right corner, then grant Make the necessary permissions to complete the connection and start using Slack in your automation workflows.
