How to setup Figma and Perplexity AI in 5 easy steps

  • 1

What a connection does in Make

A connection allows Make to communicate securely with apps like Figma and Perplexity AI so they can work together automatically. Think of it as creating a bridge between Make and your other applications—once the bridge is built, information can flow back and forth safely, enabling you to automate tasks without manual intervention each time.

  • 2

    Getting your Figma credentials

To connect Figma, you need special login credentials called OAuth2. Visit figma.com/developers/apps and create a new app by naming it and selecting your team. After creating the app, you'll see a Client ID and Client secret displayed on your screen—make sure to copy both of these carefully, as you'll need them in the next step. You'll also need to enter a callback URI (https://www.integromat.com/oauth/cb/figma) which tells Figma where to send information back to Make.

  • 3

    Connecting Figma in Make

Open Make and add a Figma module to your workflow, then click the 'Create a connection' button. Paste the Client ID and Client secret you copied from Figma into the appropriate fields. You can optionally give your connection a friendly name to help you remember its purpose later, then click 'Save' to complete the setup and authorize Make to access your Figma account.

  • 4

Getting your Perplexity AI access key

For Perplexity AI, you need an API key which acts as a unique password for your account. Log into Perplexity AI, click the Settings icon next to your username, and go to the API section. You'll need to add payment information (which won't charge you immediately but is required for verification), then navigate to the API Keys tab and click '+ Create Key' to generate your key. Copy this key immediately and store it safely, as you may not be able to view it again.

  • 5

    Connecting Perplexity AI in Make

Add a Perplexity AI module to your Make scenario and click 'Create a connection.' Paste your API key into the form that appears, and optionally give the connection a descriptive name for identification.
