How to setup Google Gemini AI and Microsoft Teams in 5 easy steps
Set up your Google Cloud project
Before connecting Google Gemini AI to Make, you need to create a project in Google Cloud Platform. Log in with your Google account, create a new project with a name that helps you remember its purpose, and make sure it's selected as your active project from the dropdown menu at the top of the page.
Generate your Google Gemini AI API key
Visit Google AI Studio and log in with your Google credentials. Click on 'Get API key' and select 'Create API key', then choose your Google Cloud project from the list. Once generated, copy this key and store it somewhere safe like a password manager, as you'll need it to complete the connection in Make.
Connect Google Gemini AI in Make
Open your Make account and navigate to the scenario where you want to use Google Gemini AI. Add a Google Gemini AI module, click 'Create a connection', and paste the API key you generated earlier into the API Key field. You can give your connection a descriptive name to help identify it later, then click 'Save' to establish the connection.
Add Microsoft Teams to your Make scenario
In your Make scenario, add a Microsoft Teams module and click 'Create a connection'. You can optionally enter a name for this connection to help you recognize it in the future, then click 'Save' to proceed to the authentication step.
Authenticate your Microsoft Teams connection
When prompted, sign in with your Microsoft business account credentials to authorize Make to access Microsoft Teams on your behalf. Once you've completed the authentication process, your Microsoft Teams connection will be established and ready to use in your automation workflow.
