How to setup OneNote and OpenAI (ChatGPT, Sora, DALL-E, Whisper) in 5 easy steps
Register your application in Azure Portal
To connect OneNote with Make, you'll first need to visit Microsoft's Azure portal and sign in with your Microsoft account. Once logged in, navigate to Azure Active Directory and click on 'App registrations,' then select 'New registration' to create a new application entry. Give your application a recognizable name like 'Make OneNote Integration' so you can easily identify this connection later.
Set up the callback address
During the registration process, you'll need to enter a callback URI, which is the web address where Microsoft will send authentication information back to Make. Copy and paste this exact address into the callback URI field: https://www.integromat.com/oauth/cb/onenote. This specific address ensures that the authentication process completes successfully and your OneNote account connects securely to Make.
Copy your application's Client ID
After completing the registration, you'll see an overview page that displays your Client ID, which is a unique identifier for your application. Make sure to copy this Client ID and save it in a safe place, such as a text document or password manager. You'll need to enter this ID into Make later to establish the connection between the two services.
Generate and save your Client Secret
In the Azure portal, click on 'Certificates and secrets' in the left menu, then click 'New client secret' to create a secure password for your application. After providing a description and clicking 'Add,' a secret value will be generated and displayed on your screen. It's crucial to copy this value immediately and store it securely alongside your Client ID, as it will only be shown once and cannot be retrieved later.
Connect OneNote in Make
Log into your Make account and open the scenario where you want to use OneNote, then add a OneNote module to your workflow. Click the 'Create a connection' button and paste the Client ID and Client secret values you copied from Azure into their respective fields. After entering these credentials and following any on-screen instructions, finalize the connection, and Make will be able to access your OneNote data for automation.
