Log into Perplexity AI and click the Settings icon next to your username. From the sidebar menu, select the API option to access the area where you'll manage your connection settings. This is where you'll prepare everything needed to link Perplexity AI with Make.
Set up your API group and payment
Create a new API group by filling in the required information and saving your settings. You'll also need to add payment details to your account, which won't charge you immediately but enables API usage. Once complete, navigate to the API Keys tab in the API Portal.
Generate your Perplexity AI API key
Click the Create Key button to generate a unique API key for your account. This key acts as a secure password that allows Make to communicate with Perplexity AI. Copy this key immediately and store it safely, as you won't be able to view it again later.
Add Perplexity AI to your Make scenario
Log into your Make account and open the automation scenario where you want to use Perplexity AI. Add a Perplexity AI module to your workflow and click the option to create a new connection. You can give your connection a descriptive name to help identify it later if you create multiple connections.
Complete the connection in Make
Paste the API key you copied from Perplexity AI into the API Key field in Make. Click Save to establish the connection between the two platforms. If prompted, confirm access to finalize the setup, and your Perplexity AI integration will be ready to use in your Make automations.
