How to setup Perplexity AI and Anthropic Claude in 5 easy steps
Log in and find your API settings
Start by logging into your Anthropic Claude or Perplexity AI account. Once you're in, look for the API settings section where you'll find your access keys. For Anthropic Claude, click the key icon in the bottom-left corner. For Perplexity AI, click the Settings icon next to your username and select API from the sidebar. This is where you'll get the special key that allows Make to connect with your app.
Generate your API key
Click the button to create a new API key in your app's settings. This key acts like a secure password that lets Make safely access your account. You might be asked to name your key or select your workspace, which helps you stay organized if you create multiple connections later. Follow the prompts to complete the key creation process.
Copy and save your key securely
After creating your API key, it will appear on your screen - this is the only time you'll see it. Copy the entire key carefully and save it somewhere safe like a password manager or secure document. Make sure you don't miss any characters or add extra spaces, as you'll need this exact key in the next steps and won't be able to retrieve it again.
Add your app module in Make
Log into your Make account and open the scenario where you want to use your connected app. Add a new module for either Anthropic Claude or Perplexity AI to your workflow. When you add the module, you'll see an option to create a connection - click this button to start linking Make with your app.
Complete the connection setup
In the connection form that appears, paste the API key you saved earlier into the designated field. You can optionally give your connection a descriptive name to help you identify it later. Click Save to finalize the connection, and once it's confirmed, your apps are successfully linked and ready to work together in your automated workflows on Make.
