How to setup Slack and Perplexity AI in 5 easy steps
Get your Perplexity AI API Key
Log into your Perplexity AI account and click on the Settings icon next to your username. Navigate to the API section in the left sidebar, then go to the API Keys tab and click '+ Create Key' to generate your unique API key. Once your key is generated, copy it and store it in a safe place like a password manager. You'll need this key to connect Perplexity AI to Make in the next steps.
Connect Perplexity AI to Make
Log into your Make account and open the scenario where you want to use Perplexity AI. Add a Perplexity AI module to your workflow and click 'Create a connection' when the prompt appears. Paste the API key you copied earlier into the API Key field and click Save. Your Perplexity AI connection is now ready to use in your Make scenarios.
Add Slack to your Make scenario
In your Make account, navigate to the scenario where you want to use Slack. Add a Slack module to your scenario and click 'Create a connection' when prompted. You can optionally give your connection a descriptive name to help you identify it later, especially if you work with multiple Slack workspaces or projects.
Authenticate your Slack connection
Click the Save button to proceed with creating your Slack connection. The system will ask you to authenticate your Slack account by logging in. If you have access to multiple Slack workspaces, make sure to select the correct workspace in the top-right corner before granting Make permission to access your Slack account.

To have Make respond immediately when something happens in Slack, add the 'Watch New Events' module to your scenario. Click 'Create a webhook' and select the event type you want to monitor, such as new messages in a specific channel. Choose the Slack connection you just created and click Save.
