How to setup Tally and OpenAI (ChatGPT, Sora, DALL-E, Whisper) in 5 easy steps
Add your Tally module to your Make scenario
Log into your Make account and open the scenario where you want to use Tally. Add a Tally module to your workflow - this is the starting point for connecting the two platforms. If your module has an instant tag, you'll need to click 'Create a webhook' first before moving forward with the connection setup.
Choose between OAuth or API Key connection
Make gives you two ways to connect Tally to your automation. OAuth is the more straightforward method that links your accounts directly with just a few clicks. The Personal API Key method requires you to generate and enter a special code from your Tally account, giving you more manual control over the connection.
Connect using OAuth for quick setup
For the fastest connection, select 'Tally OAuth' as your connection type. This secure method lets Make and Tally communicate automatically without you needing to handle any codes or passwords. Simply click 'Save' and you'll be guided through a quick authentication process to approve Make's access to your Tally data.
Use an API Key for manual connection
If you prefer the API Key method, log into Tally and navigate to Settings, then API keys. Create a new API key with a descriptive name and immediately copy the key value to a safe place. Return to Make, add your Tally module, and select 'Tally Personal API Key' as the connection type, then paste your key into the API Key field and save.
