Popular Egnyte workflows
Connect Egnyte with Make to automate file sharing, sync project data, and simplify your daily workflows.
Recognize text in an image and store the text as a new value in a namespace
When a new image is added in a folder in Egnyte, the image is processed by Optical Character Recognization using Google Cloud Vision. Then, the text is saved to that file as a new value in a namespace.
Create a link for a new file in Egnyte and share it with specified people from list stored in Google Sheets
When a new file is saved in Egnyte, Make checks which people should have access to the file in Google Sheets. This template in Google Sheets was used. All the files must have the naming convention "nameOfTheProject_nameOfTheFile". After the list of filtered people is retrieved, the file links are created for the people and the links are sent to their e-mails. The generated password is then sent in private message to the concrete people via Slack.
Create bar codes for listings on Etsy and upload them as a zip file to Egnyte
Make will automatically create bar codes for listings from Etsy and upload them as a zip file to Egnyte.

FAQs
How do I get started with Make?
Start by registering for Make. As a new Make user, you’ll automatically be assigned a free account. Once your account is set up, you can start creating your first scenarios. We recommend starting with our step-by-step video tutorial.
What is a scenario?
A scenario represents a workflow or a project of your own creation, and it is made up of a series of modules that automate apps and services. Creating a scenario allows you to transfer and transform data between apps and services via these modules to automate anything and improve the way you work.
What is a module?
Modules are the main building blocks of automation in Make. Modules represent actions that Make performs with an app, like creating, updating, or deleting data.
What is mapping?
Mapping links the modules in your scenario. When you map an item, you connect the data retrieved by one module to another module to perform the desired action. For example, you can map email addresses and subject lines to create a spreadsheet using this data.
