5 big numbers that made Waves '25 Make's best event yet
Dan Etheridge, Head of Brand at Make, wraps up this year's Waves' 25 with stats and thoughts about all the people who joined together to make this year's annual customer event insightful, valuable, and fun.

Two short weeks ago, we wrapped up Waves '25, our annual customer event. Hundreds of Make users and newcomers came together to discuss how businesses can build, accelerate, and scale with automation and AI – and how to make meaningful differences with Make. But this means a lot more when we quantify the impact of this year's event on an even bigger slice of our community. So here's a by-the-numbers breakdown of everything attendees and Makers experienced during the 2025 edition of Waves – and some hints at what to look forward to in the year to come.
731 attendees
The strongest feedback from Waves attendees is always how incredible it is to meet with other AI and automation enthusiasts. This year, 731 builders, thinkers, and tinkerers came together from across the globe in Munich. It was amazing to be with so many of you from dozens of countries and to get the chance to talk about how tech breakthroughs are transforming companies and industries worldwide. For those who weren't able to join us in person, 3,584 viewers also watched our keynote address online, streamed live for the first time this year.
Along with our multinational guest list were 140 Make employees, who guided attendees through hands-on time with our platform at The Playground, shared insider tips during one-on-one Meet the Makers sessions, and explored new ideas over coffee and drinks.
But that's all just the tip of the iceberg – wouldn't you rather hear about Waves in their own words?
16 big product updates
The highlight of every Waves event is always seeing customers' reactions to what we're working on. This year was no different: our leadership and Product team took this opportunity to spotlight 16 recent updates and soon-to-come features during our keynote address, from Maia by Make, which allows you to build automations and AI using natural language, to the next generation of Make AI Agents, which are as visual and intuitive as the rest of the Make platform. We love making big introductions in person and having you all get hands on right away – both to share your excitement and to get your immediate feedback on how you can skip the hype and get to value faster.
You can read about all the product announcements out of Waves '25 or watch a replay of the whole keynote address as it happened.

17 insightful sessions across 2 days
But while our keynote anchored this year's Waves '25, a total of 37 leading lights from across the community – not just Makers – took to three stages to share their wide-ranging expertise. And this year, the insights flowed across two days packed with learning and connections.
Things kicked off with a brand-new learning afternoon called The Current one day before our main event. This was a chance for 76 especially dedicated builders to participate in hands-on structured tutorials to level up their AI and automation skills, guided by Makers who know the platform inside and out.
During the main day's events, experts from Meta, FranklinCovey, Webflow, and many more cutting-edge companies followed up our morning's keynote to share their insights. From lessons learned when introducing automation and AI platforms in your organization to what the near future of agentic automation may look like, there were too many insights to detail here – check out our article dedicated to all the big ideas our Waves '25 speakers shared.
13 influential sponsors
All of the above couldn't happen on the scale it did without collaboration from the wider community. Support from the incredible ecosystem that works hand-in-hand with Make is what makes Waves a unique once-a-year opportunity to connect, learn, and unlock real value. I want to shout out all of these sponsors here individually.

All in all, this year's event was a truly valuable chance to come together with hundreds of customers and thinkers from the AI and automation space. Hearing their thoughts, ideas, and reactions – and getting the chance to connect with everyone on a human level – is how we all push this exciting space forward.
Waves '25 was the third annual customer event that Make has organized, and it was the biggest yet – as well as the most valuable.
