Create your Telegram Bot with BotFather
Open BotFather in Telegram by visiting https://telegram.me/BotFather and type '/newbot' to start creating your bot. Follow the prompts to choose a unique username for your bot that ends with 'bot', and BotFather will provide you with a special token—a long string of characters that you'll need to save securely for connecting to Make.
Save your bot token securely
After BotFather creates your bot, it will send you a token that acts like a password for your bot. Copy this token immediately and store it in a safe place like a password manager or secure note, as you'll need it to connect your Telegram bot to Make and should never share it publicly.
Log into Make and add your Telegram module
Sign in to your Make account at make.com and navigate to your scenario where you want to add the Telegram connection. Search for 'Telegram Bot' in the list of available apps and add the specific Telegram Bot module you want to use in your automation workflow.
Create a new connection in Make
Once you've added the Telegram Bot module to your scenario, click the 'Create a connection' button to open the connection setup window. This is where you'll link your Telegram bot to Make so they can communicate with each other.
Enter your token and save the connection
In the connection setup window, paste the token you saved from BotFather into the 'Token' field. Optionally, give your connection a memorable name to help identify it later if you have multiple connections, then click 'Save' to establish the connection and start building your automation.
