How to setup Anthropic Claude and Google Docs in 5 easy steps
Get your Anthropic Claude API key
Before you can connect Anthropic Claude to Make, you'll need an API key from your Anthropic Claude account. Log in to your Anthropic Claude console, click the key icon in the bottom-left corner, select 'Create Key,' give it a name, and copy the generated key to a safe place since you won't be able to see it again.
Add Anthropic Claude to your Make scenario
Log into your Make account and open the scenario where you want to use Anthropic Claude. Add an Anthropic Claude module to your workflow, then click 'Create a connection' when prompted. Paste the API key you copied earlier into the 'API Key' field and click 'Save' to complete the connection.
Add Google Docs to your Make scenario
To connect Google Docs, add a Google Docs module to your Make scenario. When the connection window appears, you can give your connection a custom name to help you identify it later, especially if you plan to use multiple Google accounts with Make.
Sign in and authenticate with Google
Click the 'Sign in with Google' button to start the authentication process. You'll be taken to a Google login window where you'll enter your credentials and select which Google account you want to use with Make. Choose the account that has access to the documents you need.
Grant permissions and start automating
Google will ask you to grant Make permission to access your Google Docs. Review and allow the requested permissions so Make can read and write documents on your behalf. Once you confirm, both connections are saved in your Make account and you can start building automated workflows between Anthropic Claude and Google Docs without needing to reconnect each time.
