How to setup Confluence and Anthropic Claude in 5 easy steps
Understand what connections do
Connections allow different applications to talk to each other through Make. Think of them as secure bridges that let Make access your apps on your behalf, using special credentials that work like passwords to keep everything safe.
Get your access keys from each app
For Anthropic Claude, log into your console and find the API keys section by clicking the key icon in the bottom-left corner. For Confluence, go to the Atlassian Developer console through your profile menu. Both apps will provide special codes (API keys or Client credentials) that you'll need to copy and save securely, as you may not be able to see them again.
Keep your credentials safe
Once you generate your access keys from either application, immediately copy them and store them in a secure place like a password manager. These keys are sensitive information that should be treated like passwords, so never share them publicly or lose them, as you might need to create new ones if you do.
Add the app module in Make
Log into your Make account and add either an Anthropic Claude or Confluence module to your automation scenario. Click the 'Create a connection' button to start linking the app to Make. You can give your connection a custom name to help you remember which connection is which if you have multiple ones.
Enter your credentials and connect
Paste the credentials you copied earlier into the appropriate fields in Make—the API key for Anthropic Claude, or the Client ID and Client secret for Confluence. Click Save to complete the connection, and follow any additional authentication prompts that appear. Once finished, Make can now work with your chosen application.
