Build your Webhooks and Retell AI integrations.
Retell AI functions as a trigger that captures real-time events from any application or service in your tech stack, while Webhooks serves as an action that initiates AI-powered phone calls and processes conversational data in response. When specific events occur across your business systems, Retell AI detects these triggers and automatically activates Webhooks to execute voice AI interactions, enabling you to respond to customer interactions instantly. This trigger-action integration allows you to automate customer outreach, create intelligent call routing systems, and build event-driven voice experiences that ensure your voice AI capabilities are triggered precisely when needed based on real-time data events.

How to setup Webhooks and Retell AI in 5 easy steps
Understand why connections are needed
Before automating tasks between Retell AI and Make, you need to establish a connection that allows these services to communicate. This connection works like a secure bridge, letting Make access your Retell AI data safely so the two platforms can work together.
Get your API key from Retell AI
Log into your Retell AI account and find the API Keys section in the left sidebar of your dashboard. Click the Add button to generate a new API key, give it a descriptive name like 'Make Connection', and copy the key value that appears. Store this key somewhere safe because you won't be able to see it again once you leave the page.
Add a Retell AI module in Make
Open your Make account and navigate to the scenario where you want to use Retell AI. Add a Retell AI module to your workflow, which will automatically prompt you to create a connection between Make and your Retell AI account.
Create the connection in Make
When adding the Retell AI module, click the 'Create a connection' button to open the connection form. You can optionally give your connection a memorable name to help you identify it later, making it easier to manage if you create multiple connections.
Enter your API key and save
Paste the API key you copied from Retell AI into the API Key field in the connection form. Click the Save button to finalize your connection, and if prompted, confirm that you want to grant Make access. Once saved, your connection is complete and ready to use in your automations.
