How to setup Supabase and Anthropic Claude in 5 easy steps
Get your API key from your application
To connect your apps in Make, you first need to obtain an API key from the application you want to connect. Log into your app and navigate to the settings or developer console section. For Anthropic Claude, look for a key icon in the bottom-left corner, or for Supabase, go to the Projects section in the sidebar. Click the button to create a new API key, give it a descriptive name, and copy it immediately to a safe place like a password manager, as most apps only show this key once for security reasons.
Collect all required connection information
Besides your API key, some applications need additional details to establish a proper connection. For example, Supabase requires both an API key and a Project ID, which you can find on your Project Settings page. Before moving forward, make sure you have gathered all the necessary credentials and information from your application. Having everything ready beforehand will make the setup process in Make much smoother and help you avoid interruptions.
Add your app module in Make
Log into your Make account and open the scenario where you want to use your connected application. Add a new module for the app you're connecting, whether it's Anthropic Claude, Supabase, or another service. When you add the module, Make will prompt you to create a new connection. Click on the option to set up a new connection, which will open a connection form where you'll enter your credentials.
Enter your credentials carefully
In the connection setup form, paste your API key and any other required information into the appropriate fields. Take your time to ensure everything is copied correctly without extra spaces, missing characters, or typos, as even small errors will prevent the connection from working. If you're connecting multiple accounts or projects, consider giving your connection a descriptive name like 'Marketing Database' or 'Claude AI Assistant' to help you stay organized and easily identify which connection you're using later.
Save and test your connection
After entering all your credentials, click the Save button to finalize the connection. Make will automatically test the connection to verify that everything is set up correctly and that it can communicate with your application. If the test is successful, you'll receive confirmation that your connection is active and ready to use. You can now start building automated workflows that bring together data and actions from your connected applications without any manual work.
