Connect Vapi as a trigger and Telegram Bot as an action through Make's integration platform to automate voice AI responses based on incoming messages. When a message is received in Vapi, it triggers an automated workflow that activates Telegram Bot to initiate voice conversations or generate AI responses. This integration enables you to automatically trigger Telegram Bot actions based on Vapi messages, creating communication workflows that improve user engagement. Make's visual workflow builder allows you to design scenarios where Vapi message events serve as triggers that execute corresponding Telegram Bot actions, from voice responses to complex multi-step processes.

How to setup Telegram Bot and Vapi in 5 easy steps

  • 1

Create and configure your Telegram Bot

Visit the Telegram BotFather at https://telegram.me/BotFather and type /newbot to create a new bot. BotFather will guide you through choosing a username and will then provide you with a unique token - a special code that identifies your bot. Copy this token and save it securely, as you'll need it to connect your bot to Make later.

  • 2

    Get your Vapi API key

Log in to your Vapi account and navigate to the left sidebar menu. Click on Build, then select Vapi API Keys to find your private key. This key allows Make to securely communicate with your Vapi account. Copy this private key and store it safely alongside your Telegram token.

  • 3

    Connect Telegram to Make

In your Make account, add a Telegram Bot module to your automation scenario and click the Create a connection button. Give your connection a memorable name if you'd like, then paste the token you received from BotFather into the Token field. Click Save to establish the connection between Make and your Telegram bot.

  • 4

    Connect Vapi to Make

Add a Vapi module to your Make scenario and click Create a connection. You can optionally name this connection for identification. Paste the private key you copied from your Vapi account into the API Key field, then click Save to complete the connection.

  • 5

    Start building your automation

With both Telegram and Vapi now connected to Make, you're ready to create automations that work between these two platforms. Your connections are saved and can be reused in multiple scenarios, allowing you to build powerful workflows that combine the messaging capabilities of Telegram with Vapi's features.
