Open Telegram and search for BotFather, the official tool for creating bots. Start a chat and type /newbot to create your bot, then follow the prompts to choose a name and username. BotFather will give you a special token—a unique code that connects your bot to Make—so copy and save this token securely as you'll need it in the next steps.
Add your new bot to Telegram
After creating your bot, BotFather will provide a link that looks like t.me/yourBotName. Click this link to add your bot to your Telegram app. This allows you to see your bot in action and test it once you've set up the automation in Make.
Set up Make and add a Telegram module
Log into your Make account and create a new automation scenario or open an existing one. Search for and add a Telegram Bot module to your scenario. This module acts as the bridge between Make and your Telegram bot, allowing them to communicate and share information automatically.
Create your connection in Make
Click the 'Create a connection' button that appears in the Telegram Bot module. You'll see a form where you can give your connection a descriptive name like 'My Telegram Bot' to help you identify it later.
