How to setup WordPress and Anthropic Claude in 5 easy steps
Install the Make Connector Plugin in WordPress
To connect WordPress with Make, you first need to add a special plugin to your WordPress site. Log into your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins, click Add Plugins, and search for 'Make Connector'. Install and activate it. Once activated, you'll see a new Make menu option in your WordPress sidebar. This plugin acts as a bridge that allows Make to communicate with your WordPress site and perform automated tasks.
Get your WordPress API key
After installing the Make Connector plugin, you need to retrieve a special code called an API Key from WordPress. In your WordPress dashboard, click on Make in the sidebar, then go to General Settings where you'll find your API Key. Click the Reveal button to see your key, then copy it and save it somewhere safe. You'll need this key later when connecting WordPress to Make - it's like a password that lets Make access your WordPress site securely.
Get your Anthropic Claude API key
To use Anthropic Claude with Make, you'll need an API key from your Anthropic Claude account. Log into the Anthropic Claude console and look for the key icon in the bottom-left corner of your screen. Click Create Key, give it a name, and copy the key immediately after it's generated. Store this key safely because you won't be able to see it again - you'll use it to connect Anthropic Claude to Make.
Connect WordPress to Make
Now it's time to link WordPress with your Make account. Log into Make, add a WordPress module to your workflow, and click Create a connection. Enter your WordPress site's web address followed by '/wp-/' in the URL field. Paste the API Key you copied from WordPress earlier into the API Key field and click Save.
