Before connecting to Make, you need to prepare your Azure OpenAI service. Start by creating a subscription in Azure, then organize your resources by creating a resource group. Finally, set up your Azure OpenAI resource by selecting your subscription, resource group, and preferred region. This establishes the foundation that Make will connect to.
Locate your Azure connection credentials
To link Azure OpenAI with Make, you'll need two pieces of information: your API key and endpoint URL. Find these by going to your Azure OpenAI resource, clicking on 'Keys and Endpoint' in the menu, and copying one of the provided keys along with the endpoint address. Keep these credentials handy as you'll need them in the next steps.
Create an Azure Management connection in Make
When you add an Azure OpenAI module to your Make scenario, you'll be prompted to create a connection. The first step is setting up an Azure Management Connection, which allows Make to securely access your Azure account. Click to create this connection, give it a name if you'd like, and save it to proceed.
Link your Azure resources to Make
After establishing the management connection, you'll need to tell Make which specific Azure resources to use. Select your Subscription ID from the dropdown menu, then choose your Resource Group Name and Azure OpenAI Resource Name. Finally, paste the API key you copied earlier into the designated field and save your connection.
Connect Perplexity AI to Make
To use Perplexity AI in Make, first obtain your API key from the Perplexity AI settings by creating an API key in your account dashboard. Then, add a Perplexity AI module to your Make scenario, click to create a new connection, and paste your API key into the provided field.
