How to setup Google Sheets and Google Gemini AI in 5 easy steps
Set up your Google Cloud Platform project
Before you can connect Google Sheets or Gemini AI to Make, you'll need to create a project in Google Cloud Platform. Simply log in with your Google account, click 'Create or select a project' then 'New project', give it a memorable name, choose a location, and click 'Create'. Make sure your newly created project is selected in the dropdown menu at the top of the page so all your settings apply to the right place.
Get your Gemini AI API key
To connect Gemini AI, you'll need an API key which acts like a password for Make to access the service. Visit Google AI Studio, log in with your Google account, and click 'Get API key' followed by 'Create API key'. Select your Google Cloud project from the list and click 'Create API key in existing project'. Copy this key and save it somewhere safe, as you'll need to paste it into Make to establish the connection.
Connect Gemini AI to Make
Now it's time to link Gemini AI with your Make account. Open Make and add a Google Gemini AI module to your workflow. Click 'Create a connection', optionally give it a descriptive name so you can recognize it later, and paste the API key you copied earlier into the 'API Key' field. Click 'Save' to complete the setup, and your Gemini AI connection will be ready to use in your automations.

Connecting Google Sheets is straightforward and requires signing in with your Google account. In Make, add a Google Sheets module to your scenario and click 'Create a connection'. Enable Google Sheets and Drive APIs

Navigate to 'APIs & Services' then 'Library', search for 'Google Sheets API' and click 'Enable'. Repeat this same process for 'Google Drive API'.
