How to setup Google Sheets and Vapi in 5 easy steps
Add your app module in Make
Log into your Make account and open the scenario where you want to build your automation. Click to add a module for the app you want to connect, such as Google Sheets or Vapi. Once you've added the module, you'll see an option to create a connection, which will link Make with your chosen application.
Start creating your connection
After adding your app module, click the 'Create a connection' button that appears. This begins the process of establishing communication between Make and your application. If you're using certain module types, you might see 'Create a webhook' instead—just click that, then select 'Create a connection' to continue.
Name your connection and get your credentials
Give your connection a memorable name like 'My Google Sheets Connection' to help you stay organized. For Vapi, you'll need to log into your Vapi account, navigate to 'Build' and then 'Vapi API Keys' in the sidebar, and copy your Private Key. For Google Sheets, you'll use the 'Sign in with Google' option instead.
Enter your credentials and authenticate
Paste your API key from Vapi into the credential field in Make, making sure there are no extra spaces. For Google Sheets, click 'Sign in with Google' and select your Google account. You'll then be asked to grant permissions that allow Make to access and work with your data—review these and click 'Allow' to proceed.
Save and test your connection
Click the 'Save' button to finalize your connection. Make will verify that everything is set up correctly. Once saved, test your connection by running a basic action, like retrieving data from your app, to confirm it's working properly before building your full automation workflow.
