How to setup HeyGen and Google Sheets in 5 easy steps
Add your app module in Make
Log into your Make account and open the scenario where you want to build your automation. Click to add a module and choose either Google Sheets or HeyGen as your first app. Once you've selected your app, you'll see a button to create a connection, which is how you'll link Make to your chosen application so they can communicate with each other.
Click the connection button and name it
After adding your module, click the 'Create a connection' button to start the setup process. A window will open with a field called 'Connection name' where you can give your connection a descriptive name like 'My Google Sheets Connection' or 'HeyGen Work Account.' While naming is optional, it helps you identify which connection you're using, especially if you work with multiple accounts for the same app.
Get your HeyGen API credentials
For HeyGen, you'll need an API key to connect. Log into your HeyGen account, click on your profile name in the upper left corner, and select the Settings icon. Navigate to 'Subscriptions & API' in the sidebar, click 'HeyGen API,' and copy the API Token that appears. This token acts like a secure password that allows Make to access your HeyGen account safely.
Enter credentials or sign in with Google
If you're connecting HeyGen, paste the API token you copied into the 'API Key' field in Make's connection window, making sure there are no extra spaces. For Google Sheets, the process is more straightforward—just click the 'Sign in with Google' button and log in with your Google account credentials. Google will then ask you to grant Make permission to access your spreadsheets, which you'll need to accept for the connection to work.
Save and start using your connection
Click the 'Save' button to finalize your connection. Make will verify that everything works correctly and show you a confirmation message when successful. Once your connection is established, you can immediately start using the app in your automations, and you can reuse this same connection across multiple scenarios without needing to reconnect each time.
