Build your Mistral AI and Notion integrations.
Notion serves as the trigger in this automation, initiating workflows when it generates content such as summaries, drafts, or data insights through its advanced language processing capabilities. Once triggered, Mistral AI functions as the action, automatically receiving and organizing this AI-generated content into your databases, pages, or projects. This trigger-action integration eliminates manual data transfer between the two platforms, allowing Notion's outputs to instantly populate your Mistral AI workspace without intervention.

How to setup Mistral AI and Notion in 5 easy steps
Get your Mistral AI API key
Log into Mistral AI and go to the API Keys section in your Workspace sidebar. Create a new API key by clicking the create button, giving it a name you'll remember, and then copy the key that's generated. Keep this key somewhere safe as you'll need it in the next step to connect with Make.
Connect Mistral AI to Make
Open your Make account and add a Mistral AI module to your automation scenario. Click to create a new connection, then paste the API key you copied from Mistral AI into the required field. Give your connection a name if you'd like, click Save, and your Mistral AI connection is ready to use.
Create an integration in Notion
Sign into Notion and navigate to Settings & Members, then go to Connections and select the option to create a new integration. Give your integration a name and choose your workspace. Once created, go to the Secrets section to find and copy your internal integration token, which you'll use to connect with Make.
Connect Notion to Make using internal integration
In your Make scenario, add a Notion module and click to create a new connection. Select 'Notion Internal' as your connection type from the menu, then paste the integration token you copied from Notion into the appropriate field. Click Save to establish the connection between Notion and Make.
Alternative: Use Notion's public connection
For an easier setup process, you can choose 'Notion Public' as your connection type instead when adding a Notion module in Make. FAQ
By connecting Mistral AI with Notion through Make, you can automatically generate AI-powered content directly into your Notion databases and pages. For example, you can create workflows that automatically generate meeting summaries, draft project documentation, create content outlines, or expand brief notes into full articles—all without coding. This integration allows you to leverage Mistral's open-source language models to enrich your Notion workspace with intelligent, automated content generation, saving hours of manual writing time.
No programming knowledge is required. Make provides a visual, no-code interface that allows you to connect Mistral AI and Notion through drag-and-drop modules. You can set up triggers (like when a new page is created in Notion), actions (like generating text with Mistral AI), and responses (like updating that Notion page with the AI-generated content) all through an intuitive visual builder. Make handles all the technical complexity, API connections, and data formatting automatically, making advanced AI integration accessible to everyone.
There are numerous powerful use cases for this integration: automatically generate meeting notes from brief bullet points in Notion, create AI-powered knowledge base articles from prompts, translate Notion content into multiple languages, summarize long documents stored in Notion databases, generate creative content ideas for your projects, create automated responses to form submissions, draft emails or messages based on Notion task descriptions, and analyze text entries to extract key insights or action items. The integration essentially turns your Notion workspace into an AI-enhanced productivity hub where information is automatically processed, enriched, and organized.
Make uses enterprise-grade security measures to protect your data during integration workflows. All connections use secure authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0 for Notion and API key encryption for Mistral AI), data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections, and Make is compliant with major security standards including SOC 2 and GDPR. You maintain complete control over what data is shared between applications, and you can configure exactly which Notion pages or databases are accessible to your workflows. Additionally, Make provides detailed activity logs so you can monitor all operations, and you can revoke access or modify permissions at any time through the platform's security settings.
A scenario represents a workflow or a project of your own creation, and it is made up of a series of modules that automate apps and services. Creating a scenario allows you to transfer and transform data between apps and services via these modules to automate anything and improve the way you work.
Modules are the main building blocks of automation in Make. Modules represent actions that Make performs with an app, like creating, updating, or deleting data.
