How to setup Microsoft SQL Server and Perplexity AI in 5 easy steps
Get your Perplexity AI API key
Sign in to your Perplexity AI account and click the Settings icon next to your username. Select the API option from the sidebar, then navigate to the API Keys section where you can generate a new key by clicking the Create Key button. Copy this key immediately and store it somewhere safe, as you won't be able to view it again later.
Set up your API group and payment
Before generating your API key, you'll need to create an API group by filling in the required information and saving it. You'll also be prompted to add your payment details, which will be stored for future API usage but won't charge your card right away. This ensures your API access is ready to use when needed.
Open Make and add Perplexity AI module
Log in to your Make account and locate the Perplexity AI module to add it to your automation workflow. Once you've added the module, click the Create a connection button to begin the process of linking Make with your Perplexity AI account. This is where the two platforms will start communicating with each other.
Name your connection
When setting up the connection, you'll have the option to give it a custom name in the Connection name field. While this step is optional, choosing a descriptive name helps you easily identify this connection later, especially if you plan to set up multiple connections across different projects or workflows.
Complete the connection with your API key
Paste the API key you copied from Perplexity AI into the API Key field in Make. Once you've entered the key, click the Save button to finalize the connection. Your Perplexity AI account is now successfully linked to Make and ready to be used in your automation scenarios.
