How to setup Notion and Mistral AI in 5 easy steps
What Make connections do
Make is an automation platform that helps your favorite apps work together automatically. To get started, you need to create connections between Make and each app you want to use. These connections act like secure bridges that let your apps share information with each other, so data can move between them without you having to copy and paste manually.
Get your Mistral AI access key
Before you can connect Mistral AI to Make, you need to grab an API key from Mistral AI. Log in to your Mistral AI account and look for API Keys in the Workspace section on the left side. Click to create a new key, give it a name you'll remember, and then copy the key that appears. Save this key somewhere safe like a notes app, because you'll need to paste it into Make in the next step.
Connect Mistral AI to Make
Now it's time to link Mistral AI with Make. Log in to Make and add a Mistral AI module to your workflow. When it asks you to create a connection, click the button and paste in that API key you saved earlier. You can also give this connection a friendly name to help you remember what it's for later. Click Save, and you're done connecting Mistral AI.
Choose how to connect Notion
Make gives you two ways to connect with Notion: Internal or Public. The Public connection works well for most people, especially if you're just getting started. It lets you choose exactly which Notion pages Make can access. The Internal connection is better if you need more control within your own workspace, but it requires an extra step to get a special token from Notion first.
Set up your Notion connection
For a Public connection, log in to Make and add a Notion module to your workflow. Click to create a connection and select Notion Public as your connection type. Give it a name if you'd like, then click Save. Make will ask you to choose which Notion pages it can access—just select the pages you want to use in your automations and click Allow access. Your Notion connection is now ready, and you can start building automations that work with both apps.
