How to setup Perplexity AI and Evernote in 5 easy steps
Get your Perplexity AI API key
Sign into your Perplexity AI account and go to Settings, then click on API in the sidebar. Create a new API group and add your payment information (you won't be charged right away). Then go to the API Keys tab and click Create Key to generate your unique API key. This API key is like a special password that lets Make talk to your Perplexity AI account. Copy this key and keep it somewhere safe because you'll need it in the next step to connect the two platforms together.
Add Perplexity AI to your Make scenario
Log into your Make account and open the automation scenario where you want to use Perplexity AI. Add a Perplexity AI module to your workflow, and it will automatically ask you to create a connection. This module is the bridge that allows Make to work with Perplexity AI, but before it can function, you need to authenticate it using the API key you generated in the previous step.
Connect Perplexity AI by entering your API key
When the connection dialog appears in Make, click the Create a connection button. You'll see a field labeled API Key where you need to paste the key you copied from Perplexity AI earlier. Make sure to paste the entire key exactly as it appears, without adding any extra spaces. Once you've entered it, click Save, and Make will verify that everything is working correctly so you can start using Perplexity AI in your automations.
Add Evernote to your Make scenario
To connect Evernote, add an Evernote module to your Make scenario and click the Continue button. Make will redirect you to the official Evernote website where you'll need to log in with your credentials. This redirect is a security feature that ensures you're giving permission directly through Evernote's platform, which keeps your account information protected throughout the connection process.
Authorize Make to access your Evernote account
On the Evernote authorization page, review what permissions Make is requesting to access your notebooks and notes. Click the Authorize button to grant Make permission to work with your Evernote content. After you authorize the connection, Evernote will send you back to Make automatically. Your connection is now complete, and you can use Evernote in your automations to create notes, update content, or search through your information.
