How to setup Perplexity AI and Google Maps in 5 easy steps
Set up your Google Cloud Platform project
Before you can connect Google Maps to Make, you'll need to create a project in Google Cloud Platform. Log in, click 'Create or select a project', then 'New project', give it a meaningful name, and click 'Create'. This project serves as the foundation that houses all the necessary settings for your Google Maps connection to work with Make.
Enable Google Maps APIs and get your access key
Once your Google Cloud project is ready, navigate to 'APIs & Services' and then 'Library' to search for and enable the Google Maps APIs you need. After enabling the APIs, go to 'Credentials', click 'Create Credentials', and select 'API key'. This generates a unique access code that you'll need to copy and save securely, as it's what allows Make to communicate with Google Maps on your behalf.
Connect Google Maps to Make
Now you're ready to link Google Maps to your Make account. Log in to Make, add a Google Maps module to your workflow, and click 'Create a Connection'. You can give your connection a descriptive name to help you remember what it's for. Paste the API key you copied from Google Cloud Platform into the 'API Key' field and click 'Save' to establish the connection between Make and Google Maps.

To connect Perplexity AI to Make, you'll need to obtain an API key from your Perplexity AI account. Log in to Perplexity AI, click the Settings icon, and navigate to the 'API' section. Create a new API group and add your payment details for usage tracking. Then go to the 'API Keys' tab, click 'Create Key' to generate your unique access code, and copy this key to use in Make.
