How to setup Perplexity AI and Make in 5 easy steps
Get your API key from Perplexity AI
Log into Perplexity AI and go to your Settings. Find the API section and click the button to create a new key. This special code will let Make connect safely to your Perplexity AI account. Copy this key immediately and save it somewhere safe, as you'll need it in the following steps.
Open your Make scenario
Sign into your Make account and navigate to the workflow (called a scenario) where you want to use Perplexity AI. This is where you'll set up the automation between your applications. If you don't have a scenario yet, you can create a new one from your Make dashboard.
Add the Perplexity AI module
Inside your Make scenario, add a new module and select Perplexity AI from the list of available applications. Once you click on this module, you'll see an option to create a new connection. This is where you'll link Make to your Perplexity AI account so they can work together.
Set up the connection with your API key
Click the 'Create a connection' button in your module. You'll see a form asking for connection details - select API key as your connection type. Paste the API key you saved earlier into the designated field, making sure there are no extra spaces before or after the key.
Save and test your connection
Give your connection a memorable name if you'd like, then click the Save button. Make will verify that your API key works correctly. Once the connection is successfully saved, you're all set - Make can now communicate with Perplexity AI, and you can start building your automated workflows between the two applications.
