How to setup Perplexity AI and Microsoft 365 Excel in 5 easy steps
Add your app module to Make
Log into your Make account and open your scenario. Select either the Microsoft Excel or Perplexity AI module from the available apps and add it to your workflow. You'll notice a connection field appear where you can set up the link between Make and your chosen application.
Start creating your connection
Look for the 'Add' button next to the Connection field for Microsoft Excel, or the 'Create a connection' button for Perplexity AI, and click it. A new window will open where you can enter the information needed to connect Make with your application. You can optionally give your connection a memorable name to help you identify it later.
Get your Perplexity AI API key
If you're connecting Perplexity AI, you'll need to obtain an API key from your Perplexity account. Go to your Perplexity AI settings, navigate to the API section, and generate a new API key. Copy this key carefully as you'll need to paste it into Make in the next step.
Complete the authentication process
For Perplexity AI, paste your API key into the designated field in the Make connection window. For Microsoft Excel, you'll be asked to log into your Microsoft account with your email and password. Both methods ensure secure communication between Make and your chosen application.
Save and verify your connection
Click the 'Save' button to store your connection details securely in Make. After confirming any permission requests that appear, your new connection will show up in the Connection dropdown menu of your module.
