How to setup Perplexity AI and Stripe in 5 easy steps
Get your API keys from both applications
Before you can connect Perplexity AI and Stripe to Make, you'll need to obtain API keys from each platform. An API key is like a special password that allows Make to securely communicate with your other applications. For Perplexity AI, log into your account, go to Settings, then API, and create a new key. For Stripe, click on Developers in the upper right corner, navigate to API keys, and create a restricted key. Make sure to copy and save both keys somewhere safe as you'll need them in the next steps.
Add application modules to your Make scenario
Once you have your API keys ready, log into your Make account and start building your automation by adding modules for each application you want to connect. Think of modules as building blocks that represent different apps in your workflow. You'll add both a Perplexity AI module and a Stripe module to your scenario, which creates the foundation for these applications to work together and share information within your automated processes.
Create your Perplexity AI connection
In the Perplexity AI module you added, click the option to create a new connection. You can give this connection a memorable name to help you identify it later, especially if you plan to use multiple connections. Then, paste the API key you copied earlier from Perplexity AI into the designated field and save it. This establishes a secure link between Make and your Perplexity AI account, allowing them to communicate.
Create your Stripe connection
Similar to connecting Perplexity AI, click create a connection in your Stripe module. You'll be asked to choose a connection method—for most users, using the API Key option works well. Paste the API key you obtained from Stripe into the appropriate field, give your connection a descriptive name if you'd like, and click save. This connection enables Make to interact with your Stripe account for payment processing and customer management tasks.
