How to setup Perplexity AI and PDF Maker - Automate Documents in 5 easy steps
Access your API settings in Perplexity AI
Log into your Perplexity AI account and click on the Settings icon next to your username. From the left sidebar menu, select the API option to access the area where you can create your connection credentials. This is where you'll generate the special key that allows Make to communicate with Perplexity AI.
Set up an API group and payment details
Create a new API group by filling in the required basic information and clicking Save. You'll also need to enter your payment information when prompted. This step simply stores your payment details for future API usage without charging your card immediately.
Generate and save your API key
Navigate to the API Keys tab in the API Portal and click the Create Key button to generate your new API key. Once it appears on screen, carefully copy the API Key value and store it in a safe place. You'll need this key to complete the connection setup in Make.
Add a Perplexity AI module in Make
Log into your Make account and either create a new scenario or open an existing one. Add a Perplexity AI module to your workflow and click the Create a connection button. You can optionally give your connection a descriptive name to help identify it later if you create multiple connections.
Complete the connection setup
Paste the API key you copied from Perplexity AI into the API Key field in Make. Click the Save button to finalize your connection and authenticate your account if prompted. Your Perplexity AI app is now successfully connected and ready to use in your Make automation scenarios.
