Add Pipedrive to your Make scenario

Start by logging into Make and creating a new scenario or opening an existing one. Add a Pipedrive module by selecting it from the available apps list. When you add the module, you'll see a button to create a connection - click it to begin linking Make with your Pipedrive account. This connection acts as a bridge between the two platforms, allowing them to share information and work together. Once established, this connection can be reused across multiple scenarios, saving you time in the future.

Choose how you want to connect

Make gives you two options to connect with Pipedrive: OAuth or API Token. OAuth is the more straightforward method - it lets you log in directly with your Pipedrive username and password, similar to logging into any website. The API Token method requires copying a special code from your Pipedrive settings. For most people, OAuth is the recommended choice because it's quick and direct. However, both methods work equally well, so pick whichever feels more comfortable to you.

Authenticate your connection with OAuth

If you selected OAuth, click the Save button and you'll be taken to Pipedrive's login page. Enter your Pipedrive username and password just like you normally would when accessing your account. After logging in, Pipedrive will ask you to confirm that you want to allow Make to access your data. Click the Allow or Authorize button to grant permission. You'll automatically be sent back to Make, and your connection will be ready to use. This process only takes a minute and securely links the two platforms.

Use API Token method (alternative)

If you prefer the API Token method, first log into Pipedrive and click your profile picture in the top right corner. Go to Personal Preferences, then click on the API section. You'll find your personal API token - a long string of letters and numbers. Copy this token carefully. Return to Make and paste this token into the API Token field when setting up your connection. Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the token, then click Save to complete the connection.

Start using your connection

After authentication, Make will verify that the connection works properly and show you a success message. Your new connection will now appear in a dropdown menu whenever you add a Pipedrive module to any scenario, making it convenient to reuse without reconnecting. You can now access your Pipedrive data including deals, contacts, organizations, and activities through Make. Build automations by adding more modules, like OpenAI GPT-3, to create workflows that automatically handle tasks between your connected applications.
