How to setup Retell AI and Google Sheets in 5 easy steps
Add your app module to Make
Log into your Make account and open your automation scenario. Click on the module you want to add—either Google Sheets or Retell AI—and it will appear in your workflow. You'll then see an option to create a connection, which links Make to your chosen application so they can work together.
Start creating your connection
Once your module is added, click the "Create a connection" button that appears in the module settings. This button starts the process of building a secure bridge between Make and your application. Give your connection a descriptive name like "My Google Sheets Connection" so you can easily identify it later when managing multiple automations.
Get your Retell AI API key
For Retell AI, you'll need an API key from your Retell AI account. Log into Retell AI, find the "API keys" section in the sidebar, and create a new key by clicking "Add." Copy this key and keep it handy—you'll paste it into Make to allow the platforms to communicate securely with each other.
Sign in and grant permissions
For Google Sheets, click the "Sign in with Google" button and enter your Google account credentials. After signing in, you'll see a permissions screen asking you to authorize Make to access your spreadsheets. Click to grant access so Make can read and update your Google Sheets as part of your automation workflow.
Save and confirm your connection
After entering your API key for Retell AI or completing Google authentication, click the "Save" button to finalize your connection. Make will verify your credentials and confirm the connection is active. Once successful, you can start configuring specific actions like adding spreadsheet rows or triggering AI calls, and your automation is ready to run.
