Community Challenge: Building AI-powered apps with Softr and Make

Meet the AI chatbot builder that saves 6 hours of work weekly.

Make Softr community challenge – Juliana

We know our users can work magic with Make, so we gave them another chance to shine in our latest Community Challenge. We and our technology partner, Softr, the world’s largest no-code app-building ecosystem, asked users to show how they’re solving real-world business problems with AI.

The brief was simple: build an AI-powered app with an intuitive interface using Make and Softr.

The competition was fierce and the submissions outstanding, but one entry stood out. Juliana Olarte of Coconut Breeze Media created an elegant AI chatbot builder that brings advanced tools within everyone’s reach.

Why did it impress us so much? Juliana’s solution is built entirely with no-code tools, delivers scalable personalisation, provides advanced data security, and, most importantly, makes AI chatbots accessible to everyone. From seasoned developers to automation newcomers.

Her work is a perfect example of what’s possible when AI meets Softr’s intuitive front-end and Make’s powerful back-end automation engine.

The rise of Breezy Bot, an everyman AI chatbot builder

Juliana started with a clear mission: supporting non-technical professionals to build chatbots, no coding or complex setup required.

The result is Breezy Bot, a custom AI chatbot-building assistant that’s as helpful for Juliana’s team as it is for anyone new to chatbot creation. All users have to do is answer a few onboarding questions, and Breezy Bot delivers a fully functional, pre-configured assistant in no time. Designed for maximum personalization and ease of use, it works like a ready-made helper.  In our interview, Juliana explains why businesses and individuals truly need this clever solution:

AI assistants are becoming more common, but most platforms are either too technical or too rigid. People I know often have specific use cases, like summarizing emails, organizing projects, or prepping reports, but lack a simple tool tailored to their workflow.

Building Breezy Bot with Make, Softr, Airtable, and AI

Juliana’s winning solution proves that powerful AI tools don’t have to be complicated. Using Make, Softr, Airtable, ChatGPT, and Antropic Claude, Juliana created a powerful but easily comprehensible process that sets up a chatbot in under five minutes.

Step 1: A simple setup with Softr

It all starts with an easy-to-use Softr page. Here, users fill out a short form to describe their dream bot. They can give it a name, choose its tone (friendly? formal?), and explain what kind of tasks it should handle, like answering FAQs or summarizing documents.

Step 2: Make brings it all to life

Once the user submits the form, Make gets to work behind the scenes:

  • It collects the user’s inputs

  • Assigns a unique ID to the new bot

  • Connects it with AI LLM tools like ChatGPT and Anthropic Claude

  • Adds a ready-made prompt to give the bot a consistent voice and personality

Step 3: Airtable keeps everything organized & secured

Each bot is linked to the user who created it, using their email and a private ID. Airtable stores all this information, making sure each bot only has access to its owner’s data, like past conversations, uploaded documents, or company info. This way, the chatbot stays private, secure, and only answers based on what the owner provided.

Step 4: Personalized conversations every time

When someone starts chatting with their Breezy Bot, Make:

  • Figures out which AI tool should answer

  • Looks up the right information from Airtable

  • Sends back a smart, personalized reply

Because of this setup, the bot always answers with the right context, like it truly knows you.

Saving close to one day of admin work per week

Juliana’s internal team shared a truly positive experience with Breezy Bot, highlighting mainly the easy setup and quick implementation.

They’ve described it as way more useful than ChatGPT, because it’s tailored to their specific tasks.

Numbers support the team’s enthusiasm. Users reported four to six hours saved per week on administrative tasks, such as drafting emails, summarizing research, or brainstorming. Juliana’s team is now using Breezy Bot daily for creating social media content, responding to clients, or planning. It helps them cut down repetitive tasks and improve turnaround times. What’s next for Breezy Bot?

Juliana explains that even though Breezy Bot is still evolving, its core mission stays the same: making AI user-friendly and helpful for real people. Thanks to Softr’s seamless app builder and Make’s ever-evolving AI automation, Breezy Bot will continue growing as an easy-to-use tool that could one day power personal assistance for everyday users.

And how does Juliana see the future of her innovative solution?

We want to improve the builder by letting users easily train their bot with personal documents or data sources, without needing a separate upload or API configuration step. This upgrade will make it even more powerful. I really hope that my solution will be available for everyone.
