How to setup Perplexity AI and Gmail in 5 easy steps
Access your Perplexity AI API settings
Log in to Perplexity AI and click the Settings icon next to your username. From the left sidebar menu, select the API option to enter the area where you can manage your API connections and generate access keys.
Set up a new API group and add payment information
Create a new API group by filling in the required information and clicking Save. You'll then need to enter your payment details, which will be stored for future usage tracking but won't result in an immediate charge.
Generate your API key in Perplexity AI
Navigate to the API Keys tab within the API Portal. Click the Create Key button to generate a unique API key, which acts like a special password that allows Make to securely communicate with your Perplexity AI account.
Copy and save your API key safely
Once your API key appears on the screen, copy it immediately and store it in a secure location like a password manager. You'll need this exact code to establish the connection in Make, so keep it accessible for the next step.
Connect Perplexity AI to Make
Open your Make scenario and add a Perplexity AI module to your workflow. Click Create a connection, optionally name your connection for reference, and paste the API key you copied earlier into the API Key field. Click Save to complete the setup and start automating.
