How to setup Zendesk and OpenAI (ChatGPT, Sora, DALL-E, Whisper) in 5 easy steps
Access your Zendesk API settings
Log into your Zendesk account and navigate to the administration area. Find 'Apps and integrations' in the left menu, select 'APIs,' then click on 'Zendesk API.' This is where you'll set up the credentials that allow Make to securely connect with your Zendesk account.
Create an OAuth Client in Zendesk
In the API settings, locate the 'OAuth Clients' section and click 'Add OAuth Client.' Give your connection a memorable name like 'Make Integration' so you can easily identify it later. OAuth is a secure way for Make to access your Zendesk data without requiring your password.
Save your connection credentials
After creating the OAuth Client, Zendesk will provide you with a Unique Identifier and a Secret value. Copy both of these immediately and store them in a safe place, such as a password manager. The Secret is only shown once, so make sure to save it before leaving the page.
Add the Make redirect URL
In the Redirect URLs field of your OAuth Client setup, enter this exact address: https://www.integromat.com/oauth/cb/zendesk/. This URL allows Zendesk to communicate back to Make after you authorize the connection, completing the secure setup process.
Complete the connection in Make
Log into Make and add a Zendesk module to your workflow. Click 'Create a connection' and enter your Zendesk domain along with the Unique Identifier and Secret you saved earlier. Click 'Save' and follow any final authentication prompts to establish the connection between Make and Zendesk.
