With Synthesia modules in Make, you can watch for when videos are completed, create videos - including from templates, and make API calls.

To get started with Synthesia, create an account at You must have a paid Synthesia account to use the Synthesia API and establish a connection to Make. Refer to Synthesia Pricing for information regarding accounts, usage limits, and features.

Connect Synthesia to Make

To connect Synthesia to Make, you must first obtain an API key from your Synthesia account.

  1. Log in to your Synthesia account.

  2. If you have multiple Workspaces in your account, select the relevant Workspace in the top left corner.

  3. In the top right corner, click on your Profile icon > Integrations.

  4. To use an existing API key, go to Step 5. To create a new API key, click Add.

  5. Next to your API key, click ... > Copy.

  6. Log in to your Make account, add a Synthesia module to your scenario, and click Create a connection.

    Note: If you add a module with an instant tag, click Create a webhook, then Create a connection.

  7. Optional: In the Connection name field, enter a name for the connection.

  8. In the API Key field, enter your API key copied in Step 5.

  9. Click Save.

  10. If prompted, authenticate your account and confirm access.

You have successfully established the connection. You can now edit your scenario and add more Synthesia modules. If your connection requires reauthorization at any point, follow the connection renewal steps here.
