GetResponse

The GetResponse modules allow you to monitor, create, update, and delete the contacts, campaigns, newsletters, and tags in your GetResponse account.

Getting Started with GetResponse

To use any of the above modules, you need to connect your GetResponse account to Make. If you do not have a GetResponse account yet, you can create one at GetResponse.com

To connect your GetResponse account to Make, you need to obtain the API Key from your GetResponse account and insert it in the Create a connection dialog in the Make module.

1. Log in to your GetResponse account.

2. Click the Menu > Integrations and API.

3. Click API > Generate API Key.

4. Enter a name for the API key and click Generate.

5. Copy the API key to your clipboard.

6. Log in to your Make account, and add a module from the GetResponse app into an Make scenario.

7. Click Add next to the Connection field.

8. In the Connection name field, enter a name for the connection.

9. In the API Key field, enter the key copied in step 5, and click Continue.

The connection has been established.

Maximum number of campaigns

Set the maximum number of campaigns Make should return during one execution cycle. If the value is set too high, the connection may be interrupted on the side of the given third-party service (timeout). Make does not influence this. We recommend that you set a lower value and either define a higher value for the maximum number of cycles or run the scenario more frequently.

Create a Contact

Adds a new contact to a chosen campaign.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Campaign

Select or map the campaign for which you want to create the contact.

Name

Enter (map) a name for the contact.

Email

Enter (map) the contact's email address. A confirmation message may be sent to the specified address.

Birthdate

Enter (map) the contact's date of birth.

City

Enter (map) the contact's city name.

Comment

Enter (map) the note about the contact.

Country

Enter (map) the contact's country name.

Fax

Enter (map) the contact's fax number.

Gender

Enter (map) the contact's gender.

Home Phone

Enter (map) the contact's home phone number.

Mobile Phone

Enter (map) the contact's mobile phone number.

Phone

Enter (map) the contact's phone number.

Postal Code

Enter (map) the contacts area postal code.

Ref

Enter (map) the contact's reference details.

State

Enter (map) the contact's state name.

Street

Enter (map) the contact's residence street name.

URL

Enter (map) the contact's website URL address.

Work Phone

Enter (map) the contact's work phone number.

IP Address

Enter (map) the contact's IP address from which they log in.

Day of Autoresponder Cycle

Enter (map) the number of days to set the autoresponse cycle for the contact. Enter a value between 0 and 9999.

Update Contact's Custom Field

Updates contact's custom field value.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Custom Field

Select or map the custom field that you want to update for the contact. When you select the custom field, a specific field auto-populates for which you need to enter the new value to update.

Contact ID

Enter (map) the Contact ID whose custom field value you want to update.

Update a Contact

Updates a contact with the given ID.

Select or map the Contact ID whose details you want to update.

Campaign

Select or map the campaign whose contact details you want to update.

Name

Enter (map) a name for the contact.

Email

Enter (map) the contact's email address. A confirmation message may be sent to the specified address.

Enter (map) the contact's city name.

Comment

Enter (map) the note about the contact.

Country

Enter (map) the contact's country name.

Fax

Enter (map) the contact's fax number.

Phone

Enter (map) the contact's phone number.

Postal Code

State

Enter (map) the contact's state name.

Street

Enter (map) the contact's residence street name.

URL

Enter (map) the contact's website URL address.

Work Phone

Enter (map) the contact's work phone number.

IP Address

Enter (map) the contact's IP address from which they log in.

Day of Autoresponder Cycle

Enter (map) the number of days to set the autoresponse cycle for the contact. Enter a value between 0 and 9999.

Delete a Contact

Deletes the contact with the given ID.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Contact ID

Select or map the Contact ID you want to delete.

Newsletter ID

Select or map the Newsletter ID applicable for the contact. If you enter a Newsletter ID (Message ID), the contact will not be deleted but unsubscribed from the campaign.

Create a Campaign

Creates a new campaign.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Name

Enter (map) a name for the campaign.

Language Code

Enter (map) a two-letter language code. For example, EN for English.

via Email

Select or map the ways of adding the contacts to a campaign through email:

  • Immediate

  • With Confirmation

via Webform

Select or map the ways of adding the contacts to a campaign through webform:

  • Immediate

  • With Confirmation

via Import

Select or map the ways of adding the contacts to a campaign through import:

  • Immediate

  • With Confirmation

Create a Newsletter

Creates a new newsletter. Depending on the settings, the newsletter will be either saved as a draft or sent immediately.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Campaign

Enter (map) a name for the campaign.

Sender

Select or map the sender's email address to send the newsletter.

Reply-To-Header

Select or map the email address to whom the users can reply about the newsletter.

Subject

Enter (map) a subject line for the newsletter email.

Type

Select or map the newsletter type:

  • Draft

  • Broadcast

Content

Enter (map) the email content in HTML format.

Name

Enter (map) a new name for the newsletter.

Cancel a Newsletter

Changes newsletter type to "draft."

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Newsletter ID

Enter (map) the Newsletter ID that you want to change to draft.

Delete a Newsletter

Deletes the newsletter with the given ID.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Newsletter ID

Enter (map) the Newsletter ID that you want to delete.

Search for a Campaign

Searches for a campaign by name.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Maximum Number of Returned Campaigns

Set the maximum number of campaigns Make should return during one execution cycle.

Continue the execution of the route even if the module returns no results

Select the checkbox to continue the execution of the module even if there are no results.

Name

Enter (map) the name of the campaign you want to search.

Search for a Contact

Searches for a contact by name or email address.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Set the maximum number of contacts Make should return during one execution cycle.

Get a Contact

Returns a contact specified by the given ID.

Enter (map) the Contact ID whose details you want to retrieve.

Create a Tag

Creates a new tag.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Name

Enter (map) the tag name.

Update a Tag

Updates a tag with the given ID.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Tag ID

Enter (map) the Tag ID whose details you want to update.

Name

Enter (map) a new name for the tag.

Delete a Tag

Deletes the tag with the given ID.

Connection

Establish a connection to your GetResponse account.

Tag ID

Enter (map) the Tag ID you want to delete.

Get a Tag

Returns a tag specified by the given ID.

Connection

Search for a Tag

Searches for a tag by name.
